Library

Reading is an important part of any good education and here at Osidge we encourage the children to read for pleasure and to learn about the world around them.

Our library is open during the school day and is often busy with classes coming for visits and to borrow books.

The library is supported by a team of volunteers. Library helpers from Y6 come into the library regularly to help put away books, tidy up, and scan books in and out.

Donations of books

We welcome donations of good quality fiction and non-fiction children’s books for the library, as long as:

  • They are titles published within the last 3 years
  • They are in good condition
  • They are age-appropriate

Donations can be brought to the school office

Book Wish List scheme

If you would like to buy a new book for the school library, we have set up a wish list. For more about the wish list scheme, please contact Lee Davis at the school office.
