Reception’s Visit from The Arc Farm

Reception had an exciting visit from The Arc Farm on Monday.  We turned our school field into a mini farmyard for the day.  This real-life experience has provided a brilliant launch pad for our new topic ‘Are Eggs Alive?’ The children’s excitement following the visit engaged them in lots of fantastic learning opportunities this week including painting images of the animals they saw and using collage to create a habitat for the animals to live in. The children wrote a recount of their trip and created a map of the school and farm animals around the field.
