Primary Poetry Festival 2025

Wednesday’s Poetry Festival for the Primary Schools within the trust was a fantastic conclusion to our own poetry celebration. Some of our KS2 pupils took part and they enjoyed working with Year 8 pupils from the Academy to develop their oracy skills with some warm-up speaking activities. When sharing their poems, our Osidge pupils performed brilliantly, with the majority reading their own, creative compositions. Ariadni (Y5) was our school’s runner-up, and Mohamed (Y6) was our winner, and overall winner of the whole event! Well done to all who took part, and thank you to Miss Savva who worked with staff from the Ashmole Trust to organise the session, building on our school’s good work developing pupil confidence and providing opportunities to speak publicly
