Black History Month
To celebrate Black History Month, we have focused on the achievements of black sportsmen and women including Serena Williams, Mo Farrah, Nicola Adams, Marcus Rashford and Jesse Owens. We combined this study of black role models with the theme for this year’s National Poetry Day which was choice. Children composed shape poems about their focus sportsperson all of whom made the choice to pursue their dreams despite any challenges they faced.
