A Celebration of Our New Library

Building on our focus on reading, this morning also marked a very special occasion for our school as we officially opened our newly refurbished library. We were delighted to welcome Madam Mayor Zarah Beg, local MP Dan Tomlinson, artist Leila Wishart, and representatives from the Ashmole Trust, the OSA and our Governing Board to join us for the celebration.

The library has been a true community project, and I would like to thank everyone who has contributed to bringing this wonderful space to life. Special thanks go to Leila for her creativity and vision, and to the children whose ideas helped inspire elements of the design; to Mrs Mahir, Mr Bunyan and Mrs Constantinou for coordinating and supporting the refurbishment; to Miss Savva for leading the restocking and organisation of our book collection; to the OSA for funding the renovation work and providing a book fund; and to the Ashmole Trust for funding the new furniture.

We are also grateful to the many staff members who helped move books, prepare the space and support the project along the way. The result is a vibrant and inspiring library that our children will enjoy for many years to come.
