5R’s Trip to The Lightship
The children have enjoyed a truly unique experience sailing at the mouth of the River Blackwater. With the sun shining and the wind in their sails, the children were able to get fully involved in a range of sailing activities, including hoisting the sails and steering the boat. Alongside the sailing, the children also enjoyed activities such as archery and team-building challenges. These residential visits provide valuable opportunities for pupils to develop independence, resilience and friendships with peers. I would like to thank all of the staff who accompanied the children on these trips – these wonderful residential experiences would not be possible without staff generously volunteering their time.
